TECHNICAL CAREER PARTNERS
JOCO WORKS has several partners to help prepare individuals for successful technical careers and fill the needs of local employers looking for highly-skilled workers. Below you will find more information about our technical career partners.
Johnston Community College
Johnston Community College (JCC) offers 30+ career and technical education programs that allow students to pursue associate degrees, certificates, and diplomas and prepare them to enter the workforce. Many of the credentials can be earned in a year or less and students can get started as early as high school. Whether you’re seeking to go directly into the workforce through a career and technical program, looking to transfer to a four-year college or university, or wanting to start taking college classes while in high school, JCC can set you on the right path to success. |
Dual Enrollment
North Carolina's Career & College Promise (CCP) Program allows eligible high school students to enroll in college classes at JCC. In partnership with Johnston County Public Schools (JCPS), JCC currently offers 23 career and technical education (CTE) as well as college transfer pathways that allow students to begin or complete a certificate or diploma in a career cluster. |
Apprenticeships
The Johnston County Apprenticeship Program (JCAP) affords selected students the opportunity to get work experience at local companies while pursuing their education. At the end of four years, the apprentices will have earned hundreds of hours of on-the-job training, a nationally-recognized credential, and a guaranteed position with the company. |
